Current Students

If you are an undergraduate or graduate student at either the Old Westbury or Manhattan campus, or NYIT's Central Islip site, we have already imported your student record data into CareerNet for your convenience. Your user name is your NYIT e-mail address (including the @nyit.edu). Your initial password is your seven-digit student ID number. You may change your password once you've logged in the first time. If you're having trouble using CareerNet, please download our CareerNet Student Guide or e-mail Career Services for help.

Once you're in, you can browse available jobs, register for on-campus career events, and more! However, you must upload a resume in order to apply for jobs through the CareerNet system. When your resume is uploaded, it will be marked "Pending" and invisible to students until an Office of Career Services staff member reviews and approves it. This will take one to two business days.

NOTE: The Office of Career Services was not able to import your resumes and other information from NYIT's former Internship and Job banks and we apologize for this inconvenience.

Employers

Creating an account in CareerNet is easy- just use the "Click here to register" link above. Use any user name and password you can remember. Once you've logged in, you will be prompted to find your organization (if we have current jobs from your company in our system) and complete your employer contact profile. You may begin adding jobs immediately, but your jobs will be listed as "Pending" and invisible to students until an Office of Career Services staff member reviews and approves them. This takes one to two business days.

Alumni/ae

NYIT alums, you can use CareerNet too! We even have a special category of jobs for you, called "Full-time Experienced". Like current students, you can store job search documents, search available positions, and send e-mail alerts to yourself when new jobs appear. Recent graduates (within the past 18 months) can also view and register for on-campus career events.
